Summary
Yesterday, Linda was on her way to Target to buy a birthday present for her granddaughter.
Today, Linda is infected with some parasite in the most horrifying environment imaginable. Even worse, she's surrounded by a band of misfits: a magical bearded man who talks too much, an odd little Goth girl with bangs that desperately need a trim, an angry alien lady who won't quit sharpening her sword, a disturbingly pale elf who needs some bronzer, and a heroic young man with one eye.
This can't be real... can it? Surely she's having a psychotic break.
Tomorrow, she'll wake up and this will all be some kind of nightmare. She's sure of it.

Summary
Obbryn Lothlyl, a cynical rogue assassin for most of her life, never thought the distinction between legends and heroes was something she would ever be concerned about, nor that it was going to hurt so much. Gale had tried to explain it before; what’s of utmost importance to note is that while both commit heroic deeds of bravery, heroes are alive and legends are dead. She was always more practical than scholar, but she never thought Gale would offer a real
lifedeath example, nevertheless that she could feel so desolate for being the one to survive. Mystra might have ordered his sacrificial death and Gale might have complied, but why does Obbryn have to live with any of that?Written for Whumptober 2025 days 10, 11, 12, 17, 21, 24, 25 (prompt details in notes because summaries have a character limit 🙃 )

Summary
There is a traitor in Shar's ranks. A masked bandit parades around the countryside, robbing with impunity with a sacred relic of the Lady of Secrets. Shadowheart, a young cleric of the Lady of Shadows, is desperate to prove herself to her Mother Superior. Yet, as she sets out on the hunt, she is surprised to find the traitor seems to know too much about the cult and Shadowheart, herself. But, with a mind full of holes, is it so surprising that she's forgotten so much?
Alyss (Tav) is desperate for coin. With debts to pay to the Thieves' Guild and time running short, she'll take anything to free her of her obligations and escape the city. When the Flaming Fist posts a bounty on a strange, mask wearing bandit whose victims never seem to remember being robbed, it seems like the perfect opportunity to finally make the coin she needs to be truly free.
Before the events of Baldur's Gate 3, two hunters converge on the same target. With a strange new cult growing in the forests north of Candlekeep, the unlikely pair will have to band together to survive. Can they find common ground? Or will the masked cultists claim two more victims on their rise to power in the Sword Coast?

I Don't Want Anything to Do With Magic by lilhumanoid

Summary
I don't want anything to do with magic ever again. I swear to every god who has ever ignored me, magic can rot. Magic can choke. Gale can take all the magic in the world right back to Waterdeep and stuff it somewhere indelicate, because an enchanted door has just demanded I show it a memory of my “first love,” and I am seriously considering letting the cultists have me instead.
--
Jamie, Astarion, Minthara, and Shadowheart are running from Absolutists in an underground tunnel system when a mysterious enchanted door appears (very conveniently) and demands a small price for safe passage: a chance to view one memory from each of them of their first loves. Jamie's ready to get it over with. Minthara is offended. Shadowheart is intrigued—memory is involved, after all. Astarion is... well. Less than pleased, to say the least.

Summary
A series of stories for Tavtober over on the 'Real House Wives of Baldur's Gate 3' tumblr, concerning mostly my non-binary halfling bard Finley. It will probably take their story through the game and a little bit beyond. There will be drama, dragons, love, and possibly a bit of fun wrapped in there somewhere. If you enjoy short stories about crazy happenings then this one is for you (Or not, I'm just having fun).
(Warning may contain talks of depression and suicide. Will warnings for those chapters)
(Also first chapter has changed as I didn't like the thing I wrote and I felt like it was more focused on Gale so it's now something else)

Summary
Vivian Taventus -- "Tav" to the familiar or the foolhardy -- is a difficult mage to categorize. Necromancy, enchantment, and transfiguration all appeal to her alike--anything that allows her to explore the wellspring of personal identity, of what constitutes a 'soul.'
So naturally, upon entering a Sharran crucible rife with divine magic, Vivian finds herself face-to-face with flawless replicas of herself and her companions--including the woman with whom she has quite recently become intimate--and makes a snap decision.
Fortune conspires to help her pursue this new line of research to its conclusion--by capturing the Sharran simulacrum of Shadowheart and locking it away until she has the chance to explore, in depth, the question of exactly how detailed of a replica this might be.
What Vivian did not anticipate is precisely how much Shadowheart might change in the course of the Gauntlet. Nor how she herself might react when the divinely-born replica shows more signs of life than she thought.
At least all they have left to do is kill General Thorm! After all, there couldn't possibly be any more obstacles after that.
