Lucifer stood in his workshop, staring at the rubber duck he had just finished crafting. It was a perfect replica of Alastor, complete with a toothy grin and those creepy red eyes. Lucifer couldn't help but feel a sense of hesitancy wash over him as he examined the duck. (‘Why did I even make this monstrosity? What possessed me to create something so…’) He shuddered, unable to find the right words to describe his conflicting emotions.

Alastor è il bambino incompreso che, in un tempo indefinito, vergava la poesia su Marconi ringraziandolo per avergli involontariamente concesso un selettivo filtro per le emozioni.

Vox negó con la cabeza, sonriendo. Alastor y él habían entrado a trabajar en la cafetería de la princesa del Infierno, Charlie Morningstar, con apenas un mes de diferencia y desde entonces se habían propinado todo tipo de insultos y burlas. Al final del día, no obstante, el objeto de sus bromas viraba hasta descansar sobre los clientes. Compartían observaciones filosas y se reían a su costa de una manera en la que nadie más los podía seguir. Por eso, a Vox no le preocupaban los desaires de su compañero. Tarde o temprano, volverían a estar hombro con hombro, señalando el mal gusto de vestir de fulano o el apestoso olor a sudor de mengano.

When Alastor unexpectedly receives a distress signal from Vox, he finds his rival barely conscious, beaten to a pulp, and with no memory. Obviously Alastor takes the badly beaten television in, hoping to gain his trust and use him for his own purposes. The only problem is Vox starts getting his memories back and Alastor finds himself getting drawn down memory lane along with him. Alastor begins to wonder if maybe this is their second chance at being friends, but what will happen when Vox does get his memories back?

Vox does not understand what asexuality is and gets rejected. (Un)Lucky for him, he also doesn't understand that despite his lack of sexual attraction, Alastor's favorite hobby is "Fuck around and find out"

When Alastor pulls her back to him, Mimzy pushes herself flush against him and dips him slightly, teasingly in turn, just enough to earn a few whoops and whistles from the crowd. They both grin and laugh before seamlessly whirling into the next dance.
Vox pretends like it doesn’t make his stomach twist.
New Years Eve, 1983. Vox goes out to a 1920s party with Alastor and Mimzy, only to grow increasingly jealous.

He fumbles around to sense how far his powers will be able to take him in his current state. It’s a miracle he hasn’t passed out yet, probably due to the adrenaline and his inner systems focusing all of his energy to stabilize his head, which would explain the rapid decline of the rest of his body. He manages to reach a lightbulb two floors below his room. Good enough. He zaps into his CPU and is quickly spat out into a poorly lit hallway in the hotel.

I’ve had a 15k words long outline for a longfic sitting around for a year and i’m not exactly sure if it will be written. So, here’s a scene i randomly wrote back around july-september 2024 for a part that takes place after someone tries to kill Vox in his office in the middle of the night.
