Zestial moved his thumb to rest upon her lips, hushing her.

Zestial watched those beautiful red eyes well up with tears, and a bolt of love and protectiveness and desire sang through his nerves.
“This is not the existence I wanted for them, Zestial. I would never have willingly condemned my daughters to this fate.”
The tears slipped free and ran over, leaving shining, crystaline tracks down her flawless cheeks, and Zestial shivered with the hunger that gnawed away at his shriveled heart. He wrapped his arms around Carmilla and pulled her close and she went willingly, burying her face in his bony shoulder and letting her tears dampen his cloak.

"Zestial has a horrible nightmare, Carmilla has died giving birth to the girls and as he holds both of the girls to him he realizes they are so cold and when he looks at them and they are not breathing. He turns to the doctor and begs them to save his girls but there’s nothing they can do. All three of his girls are gone. He jolts awake and looks over to see Carmilla asleep with the girls next to her, he pulls all three of them close."I tried to deliver at the best of my abilities!
