Summary
Like in those old fashioned novels, you control the story and it’s characters. This means the story will have with hundreds of routes, an in-depth relationship system and many cross paths. I will go more into detail on the intro page of the fanfic.
This fanfic takes place in the TV universe of TWD, but may have a few comic/video game character cameos. Most of the story will stay on the canon progression path, but may sometimes veer off of it. I will try to make the story as expansive as possible!
Lastly, this is a work in progress. This could take a long time to finish, so bear with me! Feedback and suggestions are appreciated!

Maggie’s eyes remained closed as the frigid jelly was smeared across her belly. She could feel the press of the ultrasound probe as Dr. Carson scanned her abdomen, looking for signs of god knows what. The ultrasound lasted a few minutes, and in those few minutes Maggie thought of every possible outcome. If she lost the baby, Glenn would be devastated. Obviously, she would be too, but… Glenn just held this so delicately in his heart. This was more than a pregnancy, it was a sign of normalcy. A possibility. It was a piece of hope that none of them had held for a long time. Glenn would make such a great dad.
The Saviors never find Alexandria, so Maggie makes it to Hilltop, and Glenn lives.

The world keeps falling apart as the dead walk it, but having someone warming Daryl's life makes it worth living for more than just the next cig; If Daryl is the outdoor cat, his partner is the indoor dog.
While scavenging the group hears some batshit crazy guy actually singing! Although drawn in by the talkative, affable musician with a bodybuilder's physique straight from the off, Daryl still has a lot of darkness in his past to work through. Daryl struggles to accept who he is, even when he sees himself shine in the sky-blue reflection of his lover's eyes. It takes time, patience, and a hell of a lot of foreplay.
Their family unexpectedly grows when they find a lone feral boy with daggers for eyes. Parenting in the apocalypse is no easy task. Especially not when Merle comes back from the dead, angry at his brother for playing house with a man. Not to mention a new enemy that makes Daryl's skin crawl - his lover's ex.

Summary
The reader finds themselves trapped at the start of the apocalypse without anyone to rely on, when Daryl comes to find them in an empty work van that will prove to be the start of a strong friendship. After the Farm got overrun Reader starts to fear loosing a certain Someone which in turn makes the Reader gain more intense feelings for the archer. Not knowing if he returns the infatuation they keep it to themselves in hopes to keep their best friend.
The story followed the series events with the reader as an insert character, starting in the prison.

Summary
'What if' things were different for the survivors of Rick's group? Combining aspects from both the Tv and comic series as well as my own ideas, this story will reaccout the events from The Walking Dead, giving some characters more time to develop or even meet an untimely demise.
Nobody is safe. Nobody has ‘main character armour’. Everybody has an equal chance of dying. Each season will allow different characters to have the spotlight, rather than it being the Rick show.
The overall plot will mostly stay the same in the beginning until the characters are established. However, long term i have ideas on making much bigger changes.
