A re-written version of my original DC Comics AU "The Man Who Murdered Batman" originally posted in August of 2022.
Keeping in mind that this AU is rather non-Canon, and The Batman is in fact DEAD!Some of the characters may be written pretty OOC but I'm hoping to keep it pretty accurate to them nonetheless, however Joker will be written VERY OOC.

Summary
Bruce Wayne is dead. Publicly, he died tragically in a horrible accident across the globe at a relief camp doing some type of charity work or another. Horrible stuff. Tragic, really. Poor Brucie, died trying to help out just like he always did. In reality, Batman died in what would end up being his final mission in his useless war on crime. He died alone in a warehouse explosion miles away from his family and friends because he decided that he had to do it alone.

At first, Tim wants nothing more than to get strong enough to make an escape. But after a while- once he's truly gotten to know the former Robin, he's not quite so sure he wants to leave anymore. Or if Jason could take it if he did.Of course that's when everything falls apart.
