Summary
Hemlock Potter, reborn as Himiel, navigates her new life in the realm of Arvernien alongside her brothers, Elrond and Elros. Following their mother Elwing's transformation into a bird and flight with the Silmaril, the siblings are captured by the Sons of Fëanor, Maedhros and Maglor, who decide to foster them instead of abandoning them. As they grow, Himiel trains in combat and music, honing her skills and forging a bond with Maedhros, who gradually softens his stern demeanour towards her.

"Of the Tales of a Fingolfinian" is the story of a young Laiquendë, Nyéni, who, after the massacre of her family in Middle-earth, is adopted by Fingolfin in Valinor. Fëanor does not appreciate that a foreigner without nobility joins the royal family of Finwë and he will take his brother's act of kindness as a challenge. Nyéni will fall in love with Maedhros, reinforcing Fëanor's hatred towards her. Her story crosses all the battles and various adventures of the Noldor in Middle-earth during the First Age, adding to the world we know a touch of mourning, nostalgia, hope and love.

Just outside the walls of Amon Ereb, stood a half-dead tree. It had been there, stretching its barren branches over the walls, for as long as Elros could remember. In spring, it would always grow a few leaves, but winter was drawing close and only a few scraps of orange clung to it now. Maedhros took them out of the walls, nodding silently at the guards stationed at the gate, and around to where the tree stood.
