Summary
Life was a complicated mess. Kakashi had thought things had been complicated two years ago, but now Kakashi would laugh at the Kakashi of two years ago for his naïve thoughts. How innocent that Kakashi had been. He had no idea what had been due to come. That Kakashi had three terror students (or had, two of them were being trained by Sannin now). That Kakashi had also bonded to a man with a swirly mask known as Mr. Kidnapper (named by Kakashi) who was secretly an Uchiha. Said Mr. Kidnapper had also gotten him pregnant and they now had a two year old daughter, all while Naruto was due to return to Konoha.
So yes, Kakashi wished life would calm down, but that wouldn't happen. Not with the Akatsuki on the move (hunting Naruto), and Orochimaru (hunting Sasuke).
Kakashi swore he needed a holiday.
Kakashi would also love to find out Mr. Kidnapper's identity too. That would be nice.

Kakashi is planning out his vacation after Naruto's Hokage ceremony ( which is more than a year away) when trouble decides to come to town - and Kakashi decides that his life is not messy enough and decides to follow it. Which obviously causes enough chaos that Kakashi wants to now single handedly make things right in a reality which is a lot more messed up than his. But hey, at least in this one, all his genin have their limbs attached to their bodies and his dead teammates being alive is just a minor inconvenience.
Boy, he cannot wait to get back home or rather - to his own reality.

His plan was simple: he would reach the village gates before *anyone* noticed his absence. In his mind, it was a race against time, a dangerous game where every second counted. He had to move like a shadow, silently and quickly, to disappear. ...disappear.
No one was watching him. That's what he kept telling himself. No one cared enough to watch him, he told himself as he waited for the perfect moment to leave. Slowly, climbing out of his window, the first thing he felt was the cold night air whipping his face, but he wasn't cold and he wasn't going back to his apartment.
Using the shadows and branches of the trees as a cloak, he ran and ran. He moved with desperate agility and speed, jumping between the roofs of the slums and the treetops, careful enough not to alert anyone. Each movement was accompanied by a silent prayer not to be seen.
Was anyone watching him?.

Summary

"I can train you, make you the strongest one of them all", the snake hissed into his ear, making Sasuke whip around his head.But he can't.
He knew he was just another pawn in the game and maybe Itachi was too. Only if he knew his intentions for sure, would he be able to hate him, kill him.
On a search for answers, he finds himself in another world, where he has to find a way home and reveal the truth about Itachi and not fall apart before doing so

Her hair is bright, bubble gum pink. It hurts to look at. She looks real.

His name is Hatake Kakashi. He is a jounin of Konahagakure no Sato. He doesn’t feel like that’s true. Something is very wrong with him.
He is thirty-five years old, a university student for the second time, hardly attached to his country, let alone his town, and he was a teenager when he last properly watched Naruto. Waking up as the traumatised goofy teacher guy must be some kind of joke.

Kakashi is constantly fighting tooth and nail to be the one to look after Naruto when Minato had died, after the great tailed beast attack. Kakashi, at the ripe age of 14, was going to take in a child. But the Hokage forbade it, telling him '14 is too young. Wait until you're older.' So fine. Kakashi would wait. He'd protect that last of Minato's legacy even if it killed him. Maybe he'd pick up a few more kids on the way.
