Summary
Five achieves his goal. After returning from the 1960s, he and his siblings finally find themselves in the correct timeline. There will be no other end to the world. However, it turns out that ordinary life can be more difficult to accept than the apocalypse. Perhaps even unbearable when there is no longer any threat to face or purpose to fulfill.
Or: Five is admitted to a psychiatric facility. Diego refuses to agree to let him rot there alone, with his head full of impossible equations and the shadows of enemies long gone.

Inspired by AutumnalPomegranate's "Contingency," mainly the idea that the Hargreeves are continuously rewound by Five when they keep causing apocalypses after the universal reset, and things slowly fall apart. I thought it would be interesting if there was a character who retained information about those resets in a really inconvenient way and tried to send messages to their unsuspecting reset self.
Unlike Five, Viktor is not experienced in matters of time travel (unintentional jumps conducted by a third party don't count). He is not privy to the memories Five retains after rewinding, instead relying on the age-old strategies of writing reminders down on one's arm. He's not even particularly qualified to talk to his own family, which seems to be necessary to quell whatever new and improved way the Hargreeves decide to break the world. However, there's really no other choice for him than to try and help. Tattoos are a permanent decision, after all.
