Ekko blinked, one earbud hanging loose. For a second he just stared, the words taking their time to find their way up from somewhere groggy and bewildered. “Wha—” He shoved the sketchbook closed and set it aside, posture shifting as if the floor had tilted. “We’re eighteen, Jinx. Where would— When— How would— Are you having me on? Kids? By airborne droplets? We’ve— We’ve barely even kissed.” He sounded half outraged, half incredulous, utterly disarmed. His hand went to his hair, tugging at the dreadlocks at the back of his head as if he could pull his life back into shape.

Jinx walks into what everyone would call a nightmare. Rotting, walking corpses fill the alleys looking to bite into anything with a heartbeat. After dodging and weaving through the undead, Jinx gets cornered by a hoard. That’s when the Boy Savior shows up and lives up to his name.
Jinx and Ekko navigate through this nightmare together. Trying to make sure that the firelights and themselves survive. When they hear about survivors in Piltover, they go to investigate. What they find out shatters their world completely.

If she squints, Lux can see a hint of red appear on Jinx’ cheeks. And oh if that doesn’t give her an idea that might result in Jinx actually doing some work. “Wait a minute. Jinx, are you blushing? From a little praise? That’s adorable.” It comes as a relieve when Jinx’ blush deepens, her plan doesn’t actually work if that didn’t affect Jinx.
“I am not blushing.” Jinx says, though the red on her cheeks says otherwise.
“You know what? If you’re really good for me today, I might even praise you again. Doesn’t that sound nice?” Lux knows she has only doubled down a few moments ago, but she’s tripling down now, and if this doesn’t work, she can forget Jinx doing anything at all for this project. “And all you have to is be good for the next hour or so, that shouldn’t be too difficult for you right?” Lux desperately needs this to work. Jinx actually participating will cut her workload in half, and if Lux has to stoop to borderline flirting, then so be it.
