Basically Hades going insane and getting the villain arc he deserves, Percy being more traumatised, the Gods being significantly nicer, and Percy having new divine heritage and, therefore, being far more overpowered.
Also, yes, I did delete the old version of this. That one was just riddled with mistakes and I was honestly quite ashamed of it, so I'm making a second attempt at this rewrite. It is essentially making things just a bit more realistic (yes, I know realistic in a world with demigods and monsters doesn't make sense but hear me out). Also, the main character is actually named Percy this time, and Lily and Pete Davison were swapped out for Gabe and Lily Ugliano.

To have it happen almost a second time through one of her children. Was proving to be just as painful as the first.
Even if this time it was his half brother instead of his child.

When the consequences from the Capture the Flag game are more severe because Percy does nearly die against the Ares cabin. It brings back some bad memories for his Dad's side of the family due to Annabeth's involvement. He tried to control his emotions, he really did, but the entire situation was definitely unfair, both to him and to Jason.
Since Jason had died, Bruce had managed to first strip Percy of his own colors and vigilante name, ignore his new adopted pet project completely, take in the kid next door (who definitely still had parents who were alive, kicking it, and extremely rich), and give Jason’s colors to him when logically they should’ve been Percy’s next.
