This fic takes place fresh after the Season 1 finale, where Wednesday bids farewell to Nevermore temporarily after the major traumatic events that just took place. Wednesday had been holding it together, but how long can she last? Eventually, everyone breaks at some point, even Wednesday Addams. There will absolutely be no shipping of Wednesday with anyone in this fic, just to preface this. Aside from Gomez and Morticia, everyone else is single. Also, I'm combining the Original Addams Family TV series (1964) with the Netflix show, so if you're confused, that's probably why. As Wednesday arrives home in the comfort of her own home for the time being whilst things at Nevermore are being sorted, Morticia notices immediately that something is off with her daughter. Will Wednesday finally put her pride aside and let her in, or is this just going to be one hell of a term break at home? Is her fight against Crackstone finally over, or is danger still lurking in the darkness?

Logically she won’t need to worry about her daughter.
She and Gomez have raised a very capable, smart and strong-willed girl (sometimes a bit too strong-willed for her own good), and logically she knows Wednesday will be fine, that Nevermore will be the best place for her, the place where her daughter could truly be herself.
Yet Morticia still can’t shake the feeling of unease she has when walking towards the school, the same feeling she had years ago, the feeling of somebody always looking at her.
As if the walls themselves are watching her every move, as if she just turned around a bit faster, she’d catch somebody staring at her.
In truth that feeling has never really left this place since her stalker all those years agoWhen Wednesdays stalker situation was a bit more serious than just a 14 year old fan-girl and Morticia couldn’t stand by and watch her daughter go through the same thing she did.
