By the Angel, this deer had a knack for getting on Asriel's nerves. She was arrogant, rude, and a complete loudmouth, seemingly unable to go more than a few sentences without spitting out an expletive.
Likewise, Dess had made it plain to the goat that she thought he was a goodie two-shoes, holier-than-thou, know-it-all church boy that had never grown the balls to go against mommy and daddy’s wishes.
To anyone on the outside looking in, it appeared as though they both hated each other.
So was it any surprise when the two of them wound up in bed together?

Reboot of my original fic I made back in 2019!
After going into the woods to do their assignment, Kris, Susie, and Noelle find themselves falling into the underground. Kris, with the newfound autonomy that comes when the thing usually controlling you is busy with some kid and their ghost friend, needs to navigate how the trio is going to get back home, and how they can free themself from the clutches of the man that speaks in hands. Ghosts walk the underground, and a time looping 11 year old needs to have the "you can't keep killing and resetting everything, even if you can undo it again, stop listening to the voice in your head" talk.

Fanfiction is strange.
It often meets the reader in medias res, assuming the upfront work of having consumed an existing professional work.
For the big fandoms ingrained into popular consciousness- Spider-Man, The Little Mermaid...- there's a reasonable assumption that most people already know the basics.
And Undertale has reached that level for a lot of people.But Deltarune is its own thing. Its own universe, characters we love just cameos in the background of a new rich story.
It's like
An AU fanfiction.I'd suggest you play Deltarune. That you give Toby Fox's second major video game production a try, especially if you liked Undertale.
But if you don't, I just hope you can get something out of this anyway. That it still says something to you through the confusion of learning a brand new strange world without context.
If you are drowning in the unknown, maybe you can drink some of the water on the way down, and maybe it'll even be sweet.
