“We said we’d always have each other's backs, right?” Eddie quipped.
“This isn’t exactly what I had in mind,” Buck replied through gritted teeth.
Eddie’s low chuckle reverberated through his whole body, letting Buck feel it where he held onto him. “You’ve got this, man.”
“I hate you. So much.”
Eddie smiled, knowing full well it was a lie and, perhaps, enjoying seeing Buck squirm. It took every ounce of restraint Buck had in him not to stomp of Eddie’s foot. The only thing stopping him was the fact that he needed the stupid jerk to carry them through this.
As the crowd fell quiet at the announcers voice, Buck steeled himself. The ballroom was almost eerily silent before the first notes of music burst forth from the band.
“Remember to smile,” Eddie whispered so close to Buck’s ear he could feel his breath. Maybe Buck would step on his toes after all. As the dance began, Buck let out a shuddering breath.
It was time to face the music.

Buck tries his signature dazling baby blue eyelash smile thing, but he should know better that Maddie was not going to fall for that.
"Ok, this will not be that kind of conversation. This is me telling you to go and talk to your best friend that you miss him and that you're struggling and that you're concerned about his recklesness and wellbeing. Stop being stupid Buck, it's not rocket science. It's just Eddie."

“Here, these are for you.” He handed Hen a coffee and a bag of homemade cookies. “I made chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, and oatmeal, so you, Karen, and the kids can all have your favorites. And coffee just the way you like it.”
Hen sighed and looked at Buck, feeling a bit exasperated. “I appreciate the effort, Buck, but I decided to take Athena, so no more bribes.”
“That’s great!” Buck responded almost immediately. “I’ve been worried about Athena — she’s missed watching the last three episodes of The Bachelor with Harry, May, and me. I bet some excitement will be good for her.”
Hen raised an eyebrow, a bit confused. She hadn’t expected Buck to react quite so well to the news.
“Oh, right,” Buck said, taking a seat across from her, “I probably should’ve led with the fact these were actually apology cookies, not bribe cookies.”
“Apology cookies?” Hen asked, not entirely sure what Buck had done that warranted baking three types of cookies to apologize for.
or: All Hen wants is a peaceful day at work, but instead ends up helping an emotionally fragile Buck and witnessing what just might be the conversation that leads Buck and Eddie to finally get their shit together.

Buck has always believed he has a predetermined fate when it comes to love. Whenever something new blossoms, it dies, and he can’t tell whether it’s his fate that the world has set up in such a proportionate way that he can’t ever find his person. But now that he thinks about it, he begins to realize that there is one person who has always been there for him despite the flaws he’s shown everyone he’s left, and that they’ve stayed. That person is Eddie, and come to realize it, does that mean Eddie is the one who saved Buck’s heart from the fate of Evan Buckley?

Buck laughed sarcastically. "Eddie, we live together, you could have told me over breakfast, or during dinner, or when we're getting ready in the bathroom, so that's a weak excuse, and you know it."
A confused and hurt Buck asks Eddie why he wasn't invited to go to the Imax with Eddie and Hen, Eddie is trying to hide the real and for him very awkward reason he didn't ask Buck. However, in the end it works out just fine.

(Buck is freaking out. The only people who have seen this photo, to his knowledge, are the post office employee that took it, and whatever person who approved it in the Department of State. Not even a TSA agent. He hasn’t gotten the chance to use it.)

Buck gasps as he watches Eddie. He finally got the attention he wanted from Buck. Eddie gets way too much confidence in that moment and turns his back on Buck. He presses closer until his ass is pressed against Buck's stomach a bit. He then feels the way Buck's fingers curl around his waist, pulling him impossibly closer to him. Eddie feels Buck's face against the back of his neck. It's like his brain short-circuits. He reaches back and lets his hand tangle in the back of Buck's hair, pulling him closer to him.
The two of them stay like that, grinding on another. Eddie's excitement was growing impossibly, and he was worried Buck would find it out. Buck's lips part next to Eddie's ear. "Is that what you wanted?" Buck asks. The way that Buck speaks to him has him buzzing from the need he has had for months for Buck. This was different; Buck was in his reach. He was more confident than he had expected in that moment. A moment. Another moment, where he could reach what he desires the most. He didn't have to think his whole world would blow up if he gave in to Buck.
