An experiment in the Team Rocket research lab gone wrong unknowingly creates a monster unlike anything Team Rocket - or the rest of the world - has ever seen: a giant and aggressive Meowth who terrorises towns at night. There’s a big reward for capturing it, and our favourite Trio are eager to claim it! They’re not the only ones, however. Trainers from all over the region want that reward, and Butch and Cassidy believe bringing it to the Boss will help their plummeting reputations be strong again.
But the identity of this strange ‘Were-Meowth’ may be far closer than they realise, and certainly not in the way they expect.
OR, your author watched ‘Curse of the Were-Rabbit’, and she woke up the next day to her brain generating an idea for a Team Rocket story that she simply couldn’t deny. OR OR, perhaps the dumbest plot for a Rocketshippy story you’ve ever seen.

But yes, introducing my challenge for Sicktember 2025: a short hurt/comfort sickfic for every day of September! Starring your (probably) favourite Team Rocket members: Jessie, James, Meowth, Cassidy, and Butch. With a few appearances by other TR members, like Wendy or Mondo, sprinkled throughout.
It’s going to be a whole month of ravaging fevers, occasional nausea, and more colds than most people catch in their lifetime. Featuring: fainting, puking, dizziness, headaches, and a very copious amount of gross sneezing. Everyone’s going to suffer (especially Butch, let’s be honest here), and that’s why we’re here. So prepare for tro- I mean, Sicktember 2025: Team Rocket Edition!
Inspired mostly by KilgoreOnTralfamadore’s Legend of Zelda sickfic collection they wrote for this year’s Feveruary. Full credit for inspiring me to not only make this, but make it in the way that I did. AND IT'S NOW COMPLETED!

With the Rocket Quartet up to a scheme to get their hands on such a Pokémon, things take a turn for the worse with a Pokémon Poacher from quite some time ago Ash and Team Rocket had hoped they had seen the last of lurking around. With Meowth wanting to prove his importance to his team, and the poacher who had been responsible for the loss of old friends in the way of their scheme, it isn't long before events leading to a tragedy unfold that may change Jessie, James, and even Ash's life for good.
