Most people have one, two, maybe three soulmarks. Devi has nine. She's wondered about it all her life, yet never found any of her soulmates. It's only when she finds herself unexpectedly in the Devildom that she finds the other pieces of her soul, uniting them all and making them whole.
That's where everything goes wrong. The prince of the Devildom, one of her soulmates, has been working for centuries to reform his realm and to make peace with the other realms; unfortunately not all demons agree with his goals. Now, in the form of a human soulmate, his enemies have found a target; if they can kill his soulmate, Diavolo will be crippled- along with all seven lords of the Devildom.
The solution? If a human becomes pregnant by their demonic soulmate, they gain the skills and protection of their child-to-be. The prince(ss) is pleading to Celestia and hoping for her prayers to be answered, like a lamb that was taught no better but to turn to something they didn’t even believe existed in their time of need- clutching the rosary that was their parting gift with common human society and letting it sink to showcase their fall into debauchery.
The prince is a liar.
And a tired liar, he is.
(He doesn’t know it yet, but he will part from the girlhood his mother was so content he brought with his birth— join the ranks of the idiots dead to shame, and never see her again— fall victim to slumber and by extension, its sinner).

Enthralled by their romance, they forget that MC is only a guest in the Devildom where Lucifer resides. Before they found each other, they were realms apart. And after only one year...they will be realms apart once more.
It appears they will have no choice, but it may be for the best. After all, how could a relationship possibly work between a human imprisoned by time...and an eternal demon who defies it?

I started writing this because my grandpa had just died and I needed somewhere to put all of my grief from losing the first person who I was genuinely close with and loved a lot. This describes how I felt, how I handled it (poorly), how it affected me in general and how I would have liked to be comforted at the time together with why I couldn’t ask for that comfort by the people around me. This was simply my way of working through my grief.
