Summary

Life settles into a rhythm: Bob continues going to therapy, Yelena carries on with her missions. But when she discovers he has been avoiding his medication, she also uncovers a truth he has told no one else: The pills don’t silence the voices in his head. The Sentry and the Void never stay idle—sometimes slipping into his body, stealing whole days from his memory. Quieter now, more neutral than before, but never gone. And if anyone else but her knew, Bob fears he’d be abandoned or locked away again.
He isn’t normal. He isn’t stable. He is fractured—and now, the other parts of him have noticed Yelena. They want her too.
And Bob asks her the question that terrifies him most: Can she love all of him? Including the worst parts of himself?

John was stubborn; always was, always has been. Anyone could tell you that but even in his state of pain he is very neglectful of help.
Like almost everyone around him, told him.

Summary
John isn't quite sure of his role in the new and fragile team he's ended up with after getting used to being assigned one all these years as a soldier and a shadow operative.
Everyone else seems to fall into some designation or other—leader, strategist, moral compass, father figure, muscle—all of them pieces falling in a puzzle that John can't seem to fill because the others fit better, and the thought slowly pushes him into a frustrated despair.
John spirals, becoming one with the sofa. He doesn't know that something else is wrong with him. Something darker and more sinister.

John wakes up in a cold sweat, drawing deep, labored breaths, feeling like his chest is about to cave in.
His bloodshot eyes focus, and with it comes the chilling realization.
A sinister shape, pitch black, is straddling him, a figure so utterly devoid of light that it's silhouetted by the already dark background that is his room.
It only takes a second for him to catch on. He's seen this figure before, hovering above New York the day Bob transformed into Sentry.

Bob could only see it in the way his fingers curled slightly and his shoulders hitched on every exhale. The man ripped the knife out of his thigh and Walker doubled forward, lips pressed into a thin, white line as he exhaled forcefully, but still didn’t make a sound.
“Still nothing?” the man asked quietly. His voice was almost conversational in how bored he seemed. “You think you can outlast me?”
Walker swallowed and slowly straightened up; blood was oozing from his thigh. He met the man’s eyes and the man raised his eyebrows expectantly, “You talk too much.”
