But once the human helped him take care of the true evil of all these genocides, they had a mutual agreement to be more…pacifist moving forward. And so, they RESET. But oddly enough, the RESET had Sans sent somewhere more…Sweet. But with fallen heroes trapped inside trees and darkness all around.
But the question remains, Will Sans have enough DETERMINATION to SAVE them and fight through the dark? Or will his FIGHT not be enough after all? But no matter the answer…He’ll make sure to have a FUN time…”

So when Pure Vanilla ventures to beast-yeast to visit his lover, he finds the reason for the lack of soul, for the lack of fervour and inspiration her letter she so carefully wrote were now devoid of soul.
A fic about doomed Purelily and flash backs as to how pure vanilla finds the reason as to why she no longer writes with love, the unhealthy coping mechanisms he uses after finding this out and him leaving everything since he has nothing left to lose anymore.

There were no stories that told of what happened when your eyes would meet with the once renowned Keeper Of All Knowledge, their world's very own Sage of Truth. There were no stories because none had lived to tell the tale.
Knowledge Seekers turned to marionettes and their Sage had been abandoned. Abandoned by the ones that gave him fate, who then stripped him of all he held close.
And now, Pure Vanilla, desperate for knowledge he does not hold finds himself at the very same spire doors many had entered, and after the Sages fall all had never exited. But he had pledged his self sacrifice, and so that is what he must fulfill.

In simpler words; No one can meet Shadow Milk's eyes after his corruption, as long as your eyes work as intended, that is.

Pure Vanilla Cookie was a hero, having traveled to the Domain of Deceit to slay the wretched beast that lived within the labyrinth of the spire. However, he remembered very little from the event. He didn't feel like a hero, didn't desire to be the only one to walk away. Now he lay in his own defeat, unable to tell his citizens and dear friend that the beast lived, and would be making his return. It was never a lie if he never spoke of the event, right?
Though he was desperate for answers, truthful answers, that only the Master of Deceit could give him.
