Broken, bitter, and spiteful after being banished from Jubilife Village and refused aid by both the Diamond and Pearl Clans, Rei decides that if this is how the people of this land want to make their bed after everything he's done for them, then they could lie in it, and seemingly vanishes of the face of the Earth. Even Volo, despite his exhaustive efforts, can't find him, which causes concern for those who still believe in him, none moreso than his comrade, Akari.
Meanwhile, things go from bad to worse for the Galaxy Expedition Team and the Clans, as the situation continues to deteriorate beyond the crimson skies and spirals deeper into chaos as strange Pokèmon that look either mechanical or prehistoric start popping up and wreaking havoc, as Kamado's continued escalation and paranoia only serves to worsen the situation.
The search for Rei, the key to the salvation of Hisui, is on, and the clock is ticking. But, even if the Galaxy Team and the Clans find him... actually getting him to agree to help will be another matter entirely.
