Summary
A beat, a breath, and Ashur finished, “tell me your sins, that I may pray on your behalf.”
“Oh, I’m certainly trembling,” a familiar voice responded from the other side of the curtain. A sweet, smooth baritone just above a whisper. “Do you pray for me, truly? Do you think it’ll do me any good, or am I a lost cause?”

Summary
For her, Treviso isn't nestled between the sea and the sky. It's wedged among Templar swords and poisoned Crow blades, with the click of Caterina's cane ever at her back. Once the whole city felt like it might be a home, but the areas that welcome her shrink. The top floor of the Cantori Diamond; her few warded rooms in Lucanis's house; the docks. Always looking over her shoulder, listening for out-of-place footsteps and the hiss of a thrown knife.
At least she is, by her nature, never unarmed.
Varric chimes in with a chuckle. Isn't that why they put you in towers? Ceridwen doesn't grace her ghost with a response.
The gods are dead, the world's a mess, no one is happy about the new Talon, and Rook's haunted by regret. Rook, Spite, and Lucanis figure out how to live despite it all.

Sebastian Vael's villain origin story!
The third prince of Starkhaven has had less than the ideal life one would expect a royal to have. He's managed to survive and fight back against the daily assaults, abuses, and neglect of his parents to forge close relationships with his brothers and pursue his rebellion in secret. Everything comes to a head when Sebastian finds himself exiled from his homeland at the age of fifteen and sold into the service of the Chantry at the Grand Cathedral in Val Royeaux under the pretense that he will join the Brotherhood when he comes of age whether he likes it or not.
As he rails against his fate looming years in the distance, Sebastian finds more freedom than he'd ever expect and more trouble than he's truly ready for when his path crosses with a seedy double life in the slums of Orlais that's just too good to pass up, and leading him on a direct crash course with his destiny.

Summary
"How strange it was, to face something as daunting and wonderful as freedom and know she need not be afraid, because now, she wasn’t facing it alone."
A newly-freed Orana struggles to understand what it really means to be free. As Orana gets settled into her new life, Hawke is determined to support her every step of the way -- but the path to freedom isn't an easy one, and good intentions don't always translate to good outcomes. As Orana learns, for the first time, how to live a free life and make decisions for herself, she makes unexpected discoveries, learns new skills, and even makes some unlikely friends. This is a story about freedom, independence, friendship, and recovering from trauma.
Now featuring Fenris being broody and closed off as he tries his best not to deal with his complicated feelings about life, freedom, and most of all, Hawke.

Summary
9:43 Dragon. A year has passed since Corypheus’ defeat. The Breach and its Rifts are nothing but recent memories. Yet the Inquisition’s power keeps on growing. In a bid to control this, the Chantry summons Inquisitor Lavellan to the trial she was promised - back in that prison cell in Haven - but never received. Ashara always knew the Divine would not suffer a Dalish apostate to have such influence for long. Quite frankly, she is surprised she was left alone as long as she has been. Unfortunately, that resigned understanding does not make saying goodbye any easier.

CONCLAVE CHAOS: ANDRASTE'S ASHES DESTROYED BY DALISH APOSTATE!
Tragedy at the Temple of Sacred Ashes! All those in attendance for peace talks or pilgrimage - apostates and innocent faithful alike - were killed in an explosion that tore the very Veil with its violence. The Divine has been assassinated, our Lady's resting place obliterated by foul magic, and the bloodshed has unleashed demons across Thedas.
A Dalish elf was found at the scene of the attack, wielding the same magic that desecrated the Temple. Through valiant efforts of the faithful at Haven, she was compelled to mitigate some of her vile act, and the Breach in the Veil was prevented from expanding.
However, in grim news, the prisoner has escaped custody, aided by some sort of cult. Blood magic is not suspected, but cannot be ruled out - the prisoner is to be considered highly dangerous. Pursuit is ongoing. We keep faith that justice will be served.
--Broadsheet pinned to Chantry board in Denerim, 9:40, alongside a likeness of Conclave suspect.

Summary
After Hawke’s death, Fenris lived by a few simple rules: track slavers, avoid attachments, work alone.
But when his search for a Tevinter relic leads to a murder at a remote abbey in the Frostbacks, the Inquisition sends Dorian Pavus to help, a mage with a sharp tongue and an annoying habit of asking questions Fenris doesn't want to answer. With the suspiciously tight-lipped Chantry sisters, blood magic, and a killer on the loose, the last thing Fenris needs is a distraction.
Unfortunately, Dorian Pavus is exactly that. -

Summary
Kione de Riva was only supposed to be back in Treviso a short time. While neither Lucanis nor Viago or Teia know where she is, Rook finds herself back in one of her most familiar haunts - asking the same prayer she had asked as a child.
Will the maker hear the words of an assassin? of an abomination? (of *two* once Lucanis walks in)? Is he even there?
(This is a short story that may eventually wind up being reprised in a longer fic about my newest Rook, the vampiric Crow Kione de Riva. The story was so all-consuming, however, I needed to get it out there on it's own.)

Summary
Cassandra Pentaghast both admired and distrusted Garrett Hawke. After the events in Kirkwall, she was convinced he could help quell the mage and templar war, even if she partially blamed him for it ever happening. Upon actually meeting him, though, she discovered the human behind the tale of the Champion.
Garret Hawke lost faith in the Chantry years ago, and he held a great deal of distrust for its representatives. When he met Cassandra Pentaghast, he didn't expect someone who understood his decisions. Yet upon meeting her in Skyhold, he found there was much more to the woman than just her service to the Divine.
And neither of them ever expected to fall in love.
This is a collection of ficlets and snippets in Garrett Hawke and Cassandra Pentaghast's life together. Chapters are not necessarily in chronological order so check the chapter summary or notes on each chapter for context.

Summary
An unexplained event drops people from Earth, or “outlanders”, into Thedas. Especially in Kirkwall, most were assumed to be demons or abominations and killed on sight. But Elaine has managed to survive. Once a skilled paralegal working to advance her career in law, she now works to stay under the radar and avoid Plot Nonsense.
That plan is ruined when she finds herself helping after a catastrophe at the Bone Pit overwhelms the free clinic in Darktown. Another outlander has become an ‘oracle’ claiming to tell the future, and she decides she can’t keep hiding her head in the sand.
What follows is a mostly lighthearted game of cat and mouse as Elaine tries to help the mages oppressed by the Chantry, figure out what the other outlander is doing, and survive a few unexpected challenges along the way.

Summary
Anora Mac Tir, former Queen of Ferelden, wanted for High Treason in her own homeland, was supposed to keep a low profile. She was not supposed to get involved in the Mage Templar conflict, but the dashing daughter of a former rebel-hero would never have been able to leave well enough alone.
In the wake of the Rebellion of the Circles, and the outbreak of the Mage-Templar war, Anora helped those she could reach the safety of Redcliffe, where King Alistair had offered them refuge. She did this at great risk to her own neck, re-entering Fereldan as an exile was a death sentence after all She could have left then, but no instead she went to the Conclave at the Temple of Sacred Ashes, wanting to see for herself how these proceedings would go, and then she would return to Kirkwall. That was the plan. But if that was how it went, dear readers, I would not be writing this tale today. This is the story of the Inquisitor, but more importantly, one of a woman, who was twice thrust with the mantle of leadership, and bore it with a strength all can aspire to.- The blurb of 'The Unlikely Tale of Anora Mac Tir' written by Varric Tethras
The dedication reads: To you Frosty, and to those we lost along the way.

No, none of these. It was sheer, piercing terror that pushed him further, until he was almost outpacing Hawke. Sebastian pulled forward, taking the steps toward the docks two at a time, desperate to know. To… do something, anything, to save one person who had nestled herself deep in his heart.
Especially as everyone else he loved was dead. She couldn’t be. Couldn’t. The Maker would not be so cruel.
