{The only initial *major* break in the canon continuation (besides the obvious romantic dynamic) is that Remus was allowed to stay on as a professor at Hogwarts- he just couldn't teach Defense Against the Dark Arts. This is a creative version of canon events and follows the timeline in the books. Remus and Tonks had stipulated in their will that they wanted Hermione and Ron to take care of Teddy if anything were to happen to them. Unfortunately, Ron wasn’t prepared to settle down. He stayed with Hermione for a week but realized that he wasn’t ready to start a family with an infant.
It wasn’t until Draco saw Hermione caring for Teddy alone that he connected the dots. She wasn’t struggling with his care; she appeared at peace- something he had witnessed only a handful of times during their years at Hogwarts. She had opened a bakery down the road, and Draco began visiting every few days, eventually stopping by right after work to purchase the remaining bread and pastries.
Hermione never questioned why they barely spoke, but Teddy was always happy to see him. It wasn’t odd for the two; after all, they were cousins. Hermione didn’t shield Teddy from him; she wanted Teddy to have the opportunity to be with family. It took Hermione a few months before she allowed Draco to take Teddy out when Teddy started asking him to go to the park. Not because it was Draco, but because she rarely let anyone take Teddy, even Mrs. Weasley when she tried to convince Hermione that she needed a break.

Sirius pretended this didn’t hurt.
He didn’t want to confess this, but Regulus was right. He indeed considered his little brother his special creation. Someone good he managed to raise, something good he got to gain from the horrible situation they found themselves in during their childhood.
Sirius was aware that their relationship was borderline toxic, from this point of view. Regulus shouldn’t be his creation; in a perfect world, Sirius should only consider him his brother. But Sirius couldn’t help seeing himself as a parental figure for Regulus.
Maybe this was the eldest sibling’s fate, when it came to growing up in toxic households: be the substitute parent with the need to shield those younger than you from abuse and properly raise them, because those that should are not capable to.or: beautiful boy but make it black brothers
