Summary
During the planning stages of Gi-hun’s obsession with the games, Jun-ho slipped and told Gi-hun more than he intended about his time as an undercover guard. Armed with an explosive bit of knowledge, and still suspicious of Player 001 after their confrontation on watch, Gi-hun plans his rebellion better. Slightly better, but then, he's always had dumb luck. A small sacrifice for the greater good. When Jun-ho finally finds the island, it falls to him to make the call about the disclosure of Player 001’s true identity. Never mind that Gi-hun might just figure it out on his own, opening a Pandora's box to a perfect storm.

Summary
In-ho never considered himself a good man.
He saw the world as it was. This was necessary in his job as a police officer. If he had hidden behind naive thoughts and the belief that there was good in everyone, he wouldn't have made it this far.
He saw the world in all its glory. Humanity at its lowest point, at the very edge from which there was no turning back.
In-ho crossed that line.
Because these games were far worse than he could have ever imagined.
Now only a shell remains of his list. Nothing seems to belong to him anymore. He has failed as the brother, son, husband, and father he never became.
If life is no longer his, it will be filled with hatred. Hatred is the only thing he can call his own. He will turn it into a weapon he will aim at this man.
The white mask of the Frontman will fall at his feet, even if he has to die standing.
Revenge is not a choice.
It is a need.

Summary
In-ho never expected to survive the Games. He expected to die like the rest—reduced to nothing more than a number in a cruel experiment, his body discarded, his name erased. Instead, he emerged as the winner of the 2015 Squid Game, drowning in blood-stained riches that felt more like a curse than a prize.

Ten years ago, Seong Gi-hun is wrongfully convicted of a murder while on vacation with friends. Now paroled, he returns to a life where his ex-husband has told their daughters he died- erasing his name, rewriting his memory, and hanging a portrait of another man above the fireplace.
To stay close while searching for the real killer- believing it to be someone from their original friend group- Gi-hun has to remarry his ex-husband under a new identity and become the stepfather to his own children until he can clear his name.

"Sit. Eat this," he ordered. Gi-hun hesitated, but sat down, opening the luxurious box with a raised eyebrow, checking for confirmation.
In-ho gave him a nod of approval. Gi-hun, now completely at ease, smiled and dug in, eating with no shame or hesitation. The sight of him devouring the food without a care in the world was almost... amusing.
In-ho chuckled quietly, his gaze following Gi-hun’s every move. The man's cheeks were full, like a hamster storing food. Cute, In-ho thought.
An idea sparked in his mind; one he hadn’t expected to consider before this moment.
“Would you mind being my pet?”
Or Gi-Hun taking the job being In-ho's pet.

The words ricocheted around the cavernous, sterile dormitory, echoing off blood-smeared tiles and the cold metal bunks. Guards in pink, faceless beneath their masks, pressed Seong Gi-hun’s trembling body to the floor. He sobbed, raw, animal, desperate, his voice cracking where hope had finally splintered for good.
On the other side of the facility, In-ho sat in his armchair, the black mask of the Frontman abandoned on the side table. The monitor’s glow flickered over his face, catching the hard lines of his jaw, the furrow between his brows. In his gloved hand, a tumbler of whiskey trembled, one he had refilled over and over again since arriving back in his quarters.
He watched Gi-hun struggle, watched the man’s face contorted in agony and confusion, eyes darting to the empty beds where his comrades had lain. Now, only Gi-hun remained, a lone, howling survivor in a slaughterhouse, with only those opposing him remaining.
In-ho tipped back the glass, draining the rest of the whiskey in a single, burning swallow. The alcohol did nothing to dull the storm in his mind.

What he doesn’t know is that the Frontman has been observing him as Young-il and has been rethinking on how to deal with Gi-hun. Realizing his infatuation with player 456, In-ho decides to offer him a deal. However, it comes with a catch, each request Gi-hun makes needs to be paid with a kiss. Will Gi-hun be able to escape or is he a moth drawn to the flame?
