Kai shifted in the cage, he was quite squished in here, maybe big enough for two people, but they would have to be sitting. Now that Kai was thinking, it was strange there was a cage here. He didn’t think Morro would go and get a cage for fun? But then again, Kai had no clue what Morro did with Lloyd when Lloyd needed rest. There was no way Morro was just possessing the boy all the time, no way Lloyd’s body could take it. Sure he was strong, but it had been weeks, there was no way.
AKA, I was going to post another Carmen Sandiego fic, got distracted, found this in my google docs with only two paragraphs, and started writing over the course of 4 hours (Yes I have school work to do, and yes, I am pretending it doesn't exist)

It was empty. So quiet that he could hear the low hum of the lights and the wiring as they flowed into nearby machinery. Pixal. Mr. E.
He turned the corner when he suddenly heard something. “Ninja!?” He called, racing to the source of the sound. He slammed open the door to the kitchen. It was empty, and it took a few seconds of frantic searching before he realized what it was. It was the ice maker in their new fridge, periodically freezing the water it’s given. Ice. Zane.
Wu took a deep, shuddering breath. He couldn’t stay here.

Lloyd had never had trouble with touch before. In fact, he’d loved it. He used to search it out like it was the only thing keeping him alive. Hugs, hair ruffles, cuddle puddles – you name it, Lloyd is searching for it. Kai and Nya suspected he hadn’t gotten it when he was a kid, which…fair. Summary
“You’re not better than me,” Morro murmured, anger rising in his voice, a stake of involuntary fear shoved through Lloyds lungs.
“YOU’RE NOT BETTER THAN ME!” Morro bellowed, trying to convince himself more than he was trying to convince Lloyd, a broken record as the words left his mouth repeatedly from his hunched figure, blurred and focussed, distorted then suddenly normal, as if the constant glitches were nothing but a glare. The words rang in the empty space, surrounding the two with a barbwire wall. Foggy clouds circled around Morro, giving an eerie effect to an already creepy ghoul. They spun and grew, creating a tornado that only seemed to affect Morro.

Lloyd wakes up from a vision. Somehow it was even more terrifying than the previous ones. The Ninja's stables are empty, so Lloyd decides to look for them. Only to discover that his family put up with Ras and Arin. They made a deal. Ras will help them find Jay, Pixal and save Kai, while the Ninja help Ras undo the merge. And Lloyd is left out. That was a mistake.
(Or everyone is trauma fishing and bonding at the same time)

Something wet runs down his hands, dripping off the tip of his fingers. He doesn’t need to look to know what it is, and Harumi smiles at the look on his face.————

Summary
Lloyd Garmadon is sent to the past to fix as much as possible. The price? He has to give up his name, his powers, and his old destiny. He ends up pseudo-adopting Morro. He trains the boy to be a protector of the Green Ninja while also attempting to prepare for and stop every horrific event that happened in his childhood. How could it go wrong?
The canon timeline was already super finicky in my eyes, so I may have played around with it. Now, Morro is only nineteen years older than Lloyd rather than the near forty-year gap in canon.
