Trapped in physical stasis in an interstitial space bubble for years, Nya doesn’t even realize what happened until she and Sora set out on their search for a dragon core.
With a baby on the way, Nya has a lot to deal with as the events of the DR series unfold; staying behind in battle, trying to help Jay remember who he is and doing her best to protect their precious child from the ninjas’ many enemies. -

Paralyzed by his fervent belief in Nadakhan’s invincibility, Jay is too afraid to flee with his would-be rescuers. The genie presents him with an agonizing ultimatum: drive his friends away to save their lives, or watch them be brutally murdered. Jay is left with no good choice—sacrifice his freedom to ensure their safety, or let them die and forever be remembered as the coward who could not defy his captor.
There will NOT be a good ending here!! Don't even hope for it, guys.

It was a beautiful color, really, and he found himself staring at Nya’s silhouette, tall, graceful, and radiant, even like that. Blue had always been their color. It suited her so well, too. He remembered looking into her dark, almond-shaped eyes and feeling like she was absorbing his soul. He missed that.
Like a punishment for getting distracted, the pink ninja hit him hard in the stomach, and he landed on the floor, scraping his knees. It hurt like hell, and he let out a pained groan, pressing a hand to his ribs as the pain burned through him. He was weak. He was not the same ninja who had fought against Kalmaar's army. At that time, he had had the love of his life and his friends beside him. Now, he did not even know if they still considered him one of them.

Summary
Lloyd wakes up from a vision. Somehow it was even more terrifying than the previous ones. The Ninja's stables are empty, so Lloyd decides to look for them. Only to discover that his family put up with Ras and Arin. They made a deal. Ras will help them find Jay, Pixal and save Kai, while the Ninja help Ras undo the merge. And Lloyd is left out. That was a mistake.
(Or everyone is trauma fishing and bonding at the same time)
