Summary
King Steve of Hawkins High was not just a stupid title, but also a memoir of his time as a strong drinker, Big-House-No-Parents-Regular-Party-Host chugging beers. After his fallout with Tommy and Carol and losing his popularity among the Hawkins High population, Steve thought his days as a party thrower were behind him.
As it turns out, befriending a lesbian band geek, a metal head, remaining friends with his ex, and somehow becoming friends with his ex’s new boyfriend was what he needed to start hosting gatherings with alcoholic beverages and loud music in his house again.
Or: Steve hosts a party. Robin gets too drunk to go home and stays overnight. Steve thinks taking care of Robin will be easy. Steve is too optimistic.

Vecna fades completely from view, along with the rest of the woods and the Upside Down, replaced with nothing but darkness and the echoes of a demon’s voice.
“One way, or another.”
It’s been nearly two years since the last showdown with the Upside Down. Two years since Vecna/Henry/One nearly destroyed the world. They hadn’t won against Vecna, but they hadn’t really lost either. Though eerie ash storms streaked with red lightning often found their way into the weather patterns, they weren’t constant, nor did they seem to be growing worse. The cracks that led down into the upside down hadn’t disappeared, but they hadn’t grown either.
It feels like some sort of stalemate. And all of Hawkins is holding its breath, waiting to see who will strike next.

Summary
In that book a character was named Alec; that didn’t say much though. Maybe the person who had left it there was named Alec, or maybe the person it was actually destined for had that name. Will felt like he was intruding on some sort of private conversation. He had nothing to do with that whole deal but still, he was dying of curiosity, so he flipped the box over.
And then, suddenly, he had everything to do with that box.
On the bottom, in very big letters, somehow perfectly even for being such a giant writing, his name was written in all capital letters.

Summary
Billy’s boredom has been an issue ever since he moved to Hawkins. Nothing seemed sufficient anymore. He would consider Hawkins the most boring town in the world, if only the weird and mysterious event of Will Byers disappearance never happened.
Maybe unearthing the mysteries around his vanishing could be his ticket to cure his boredom. But for that, he would have to grow closer to the kid, and gain his trust. -

Will had every mind to walk out into the woods with no shoes on and disappear under mysterious circumstances.
"You want to make a fool out of Mike, don't you," he stated. "Look, I am slightly upset with Mike, but I won't make a fool out of him or humiliate him just to see if he likes me back. Or play into your weird delusions."
"Okay then, we will go and ignore him the whole time. Don't you want to see Holly? She loves you, you know.."
Will raised an eyebrow. "You do know that Mike is oblivious as hell, right?"
"So..what's the harm?"
Will was supposed to be having a good day. So why on earth has he just had his paints destroyed and then being talked into going to five parties with Robin of all people, and just to top it all off, he ends up alone with Mike at every party. Mike. Mike Wheeler. Plus the one time they were alone when there was no party.

Although, Will was right— maybe Mike wasn’t into guys, maybe they’d never date— she couldn’t let him give up forever. A little bit of hope is okay, it’s survival, it’s how Robin was able to keep going. Will needed to see that too.
